Disney+ and Anime Limited Announce Multi-Film Agreement for UK and Ireland

Films will come to Disney+ from later in 2026 including A Silent Voice, Akira, BELLE, Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Mirai, Perfect Blue, Summer Wars, Weathering With You, Wolf Children, your name.

In a joint press release, Disney+ and Anime Ltd. announced a multi-title agreement to bring anime films to Disney+ in the UK, Ireland and France, starting later in 2026. The following films have been announced for the UK and Ireland:

A Silent Voice, directed by Naoko Yamada, UK and Ireland only, pictured right

Akira, directed by Katsuhiro Ōtomo; UK and Ireland only

BELLE, directed by Mamoru Hosoda, UK and France streaming debut
