Hyper Japan Will Begin in London Next Friday

The Hyper Japan Festival will take place from Friday July 24 to Sunday July 26 at Olympia in London.

The band THE SIXTH LIE will appear on both the Friday (2 p.m) and Saturday (4.20 p.m.). Its credits include the end song ("Hibana") for the first season of Golden Kamuy, and the opening songs for A Certain Scientific Accelerator and The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt.

The rock band Queen Bee will appear on the Friday at 5.50 p.m The band formed in 2009, and has since performed theme songs for Dororo (the 2019 TV series), 【Oshi No Ko】 (the ending theme, "Mephisto," for Season 1), Raven of the Inner Palace, Tokyo Ghoul:re, Undead Unluck, and Chainsaw Man. The group has also performed theme songs for the live-action Sadako film and the live-action Tokyo Ghoul S film

The Japanese singer Eir Aoi will perform a live show on the Saturday at 5.30 p.m.

Aoi launched her musical career in 2011. She released her first single, "Memoria," in October 2011, with the single's title song serving as the ending theme song to the Fate/Zero television anime series. She has performed theme songs for such anime series as Kill la Kill, Sword Art Online, and the second season of Aldnoah.Zero. Since her return from hiatus, she has returned to performing theme songs for numerous entries in the Sword Art Online franchise, and has also performed theme songs for such anime as Granbelm, Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia, Back Arrow, Blue Reflection Ray, and A Couple of Cuckoos.

The Japanese voice actor Chiaki Kobayashi will appear on the Sunday at 12.45 p.m. He will be interviewed by the British voice actor Elsie Lovelock.

Kobayashi's roles include Stark in Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, Yoshiki Tsujinaka, the human protagonist of The Summer Hikaru Died, Gabimaru in Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku, Makoto "Edamame" Edamura in Great Pretender, Kota Sako in Wind Breaker, Hiroto Kuga in Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE, Langa in Sk8 the Infinity, Tomoya in Summer Ghost, Mash Burnedead in Mashle: Magic and Muscles, Kyo Kasahara in Blue Box, Kiyoshi Adachi in Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!, Louis James Moriarty in Moriarty the Patriot, Apart in Sakamoto Days, Allegro in Vampire in the Garden and Shozo in The Fire Hunter.
