Webtoon-Based Live-Action Series Mousetrap Premieres on Netflix on August 28

Netflix will premiere its new mystery thriller series Mousetrap, based on the webtoon Field Mouse, on August 28. The company also unveiled the poster and English-subtitled teaser trailer:
The series follows reclusive novelist Moon-jae, whose life is turned upside down by a mysterious figure known only as "Field Mouse." In a desperate attempt to reclaim what he's lost, Moon-jae teams up with No-ja, a ruthless loan shark who once pursued him.
Hong-sun Kim directs the series, with Jun-yeol Ryu starring as Moon-jae, Kyung-gu Sul as loan shark Noja, and Kyoo-hyung Lee as detective Sun-yong.
Field Mouse was originally serialized from 2017-2020 by webtoon artist Ludovico. Its story is inspired by the Korean folktale "The Rate That Ate Fingernails," which tells the story of a rat that transforms into a human after consuming someone's fingernails.
An English version of the webtoon is not currently available.
