Toho Animation Teams Up With Nijisanji EN for the First Time in an Anime Expo 2026 Special

Shu Yamino and Meloco Kyoran Host the Exclusive Program, Premiering August 16 (JST) with Special Guests Hana Hishikawa and OHIOBOSS SATOYU

TOKYO, JAPAN (August 14, 2026) — Toho Co., LTD.'s animation label, TOHO animation, is releasing a special report segment on its official YouTube channel covering Anime Expo 2026, the largest anime gathering held at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The program will air on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 12:00 PM JST / Saturday, August 15, at 8:00 PM PDT, on their official YouTube channel, featuring notable hosts and guests discussing the brand's activities at last month's convention.

Collaborating with TOHO animation for the first time, virtual live-streamers Shu Yamino and Meloco Kyoran, members of the global VTuber project “NIJISANJI EN,” will serve as the program hosts presenting highlights from Anime Expo. The event spotlight features the duo's signature lighthearted banter accompanied by on-site footage and will be available with English audio and Japanese subtitles for everyone in Japan.

Shu and Meloco will guide viewers through the event venue, with footage of the TOHO animation booth and the panel stage featuring star-studded voice talent behind characters from the brand's various anime titles. These include popular anime series such as My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen, Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, The Apothecary Diaries, and Though I Am an Inept Villainess. Viewers can expect the program to capture the event atmosphere of Anime Expo 2026, as well as the exhibits and panels that most didn't get to experience firsthand.

Notable commentary will also be provided by Hana Hishikawa, who voices Leelee in the anime Though I Am an Inept Villainess. OHIOBOSS SATOYU, a globally recognized content creator, will also be reporting from the TOHO animation booth.
