Ani-One Asia Licenses Clevatess II, The Ogre's Bride Anime

Ani-One Asia announced on Wednesday and Thursday that it has licensed the Clevatess II and The Ogre's Bride anime, and will stream both anime in July.

Clevatess II -Majū no Ō to Itsuwari no Yūsha Denshō- (Clevatess II -The King of Magical Beasts and the Legend of the False Hero-), the second anime season based on Yuji Iwahara's Clevatess -Majū no Ō to Akago to Shikabane no Yūsha- (Clevatess - The King of Magical Beasts, the Baby, and the Corpse Hero) manga, will debut in Japan on July 8. With the Hero Alicia defeating General Dorel, the war between Hiden and Borhate has finally come to an end. During the three-nation negotiations involving Eslinn, the central point of contention becomes the "secret room" left behind by Dorel. Envoys from various nations arrive one after another at the Borhate Divine School of Solsein to vie for its secrets. Among them is Klen, who has now become Luna's personal magic tutor.

Kiyotaka Taguchi (kaiju designer for SSSS.Dynazenon film) returns to direct the anime at Lay-duce. Keigo Koyanagi (Brave Bang Bravern!, The Rising of The Shield Hero) is again in charge of series scripts, and Souichirou Sako (Buddy Daddies, Magi: Adventure of Sinbad) is again the character designer and chief animation director. Natsuko Kondou is a new sub-character designer and chief animation director. Nobuaki Nobusawa (Mr. Villain's Day Off, Police in a Pod, Steins;Gate 0) is again composing the music. MYTH & ROID performs the ending theme song "Awake Anew."

The first season premiered in July 2025. Ani-One Asia streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.

The television anime of Kureha's The Ogre's Bride (Oni no Hanayome) light novel series will debut in Japan on July 4. Ani-One Asia describes the anime:

In a Japan where humans and monsters coexist... Ayakashi, monsters with exceptional talents and looks, are the nucleus of the society. These ayakashi could find their brides instinctively, and it is an honor that all young women dream of. Yuzu Shinonome, an ordinary high schooler, is constantly compared to her younger sister Karin, a fox spirit's bride, leading her to grow up neglected by her family. One day, just when Yuzu is unable to bear this unfair treatment any longer, she has a chance encounter with an exceptionally beautiful young man. "I've found you... my bride." Kazuhito Ōmiya is directing the anime at Colored Pencil Animation Japan. Yumi Kamakura is in charge of the series scripts. Hikari Tanaka is drawing the main character designs, and Hiroko Shigekuni is also credited for character designs. Masaru Yokoyama is composing the music. The ClariS trio are performing the anime's opening theme song "Hitokoto" (A Word). Actor and singer Ikusaburō Yamazaki is performing the ending theme song "Shinboshi."
