Laplacian Releases Kugayama Shiori's Death Diary on Switch

Occult Mystery Visual Novel Launches on Nintendo Switch in English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese

TOKYO, Japan – July 30, 2026 – Laplacian today announced that its occult mystery visual novel, Kugayama Shiori's Death Diary, is now available on Nintendo Switch. The game is written by Kazuki Fumi.

Kugayama Shiori's Death Diary is a mystery visual novel where horror meets occult comedy. Players follow Kugayama Shiori, a ghost who repeatedly takes her own life using different methods in an attempt to recover the memories of her death, ultimately uncovering the truth behind a single incident.

The game features a choice-driven investigation system with over 100 decision points. Players explore locations via a map-based system, encounter spirits, and collect fragmented testimonies that gradually piece together the mystery. The Urban Legend Encyclopedia tracks discovered phenomena and reveals hidden connections, with player choices leading to multiple endings.

Kugayama Shiori's Death Diary is available today on Nintendo Switch for $24.99 USD (regional pricing applies).

The game supports English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese text, and features full Japanese voice acting.
