Necromancer Isekai Anime Reveals Key Visual, 2027 Debut

REMOW revealed a new key visual and the 2027 streaming debut date for Necromancer Isekai: How I Went from Abandoned Villager to the Emperor's Favorite, the television anime adaptation of Nazuna Miki's Mukuwarenakatta Murabito A, Kizoku ni Hirowarete Dekiai Sareru Ue ni: Jitsu wa Motteita Densetsu-kyū no Kami Skill mo Kakusei Shita novel series, on Thursday. The Japanese website for the anime also confirmed the anime will debut on TV in 2027.
REMOW also revealed that Yoshihiro Akase joins the anime's staff as sound director.

The anime stars:
- Maaya Uchida as Matteo
- Yuki Yomichi as Ishtar
- Sayako Tōjō as Hecate
- Mei Igarashi as Metis
The story follows Matteo, who is reincarnated as the grandson of an aristocrat. He learns to use ancient magic and hatch dragon eggs. The emperor hears of his magical power and checks it out, but he has a secret identity...
Masahiko Komino (Gibiate) is directing the anime at l-a-unch・BOX. Tsutomu Kaneko (Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne, Master Keaton) is overseeing the series scripts, and Junko Yamanaka (Aoharu x Machinegun, Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life) is designing the characters. GENCO is producing the anime.
The anime was first announced in 2023.
The novel series debuted on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let's Become Novelists) website in May 2020. Shueisha began publishing the novels in 2021, and it published the seventh volume in May 2024. Suzume Kumo launched a manga adaptation on Dash x Comic in December 2022. Shueisha published the manga's third compiled book volume in May 2025.
